Currently，SCEG has a faculty of 107, including 8 professors, 40 associate professors, 2 senior experimenters, and 60 teachers with PhD degree, who features high level of teaching and scientific research experience and reasonable background in regard to education, age, professional and technical posts, and academic qualifications. 61 teachers are graduate student supervisors, including 21 off campus part-time supervisors. In addition, 2 scholars are members of National Professional Committees, and 1 teacher is the Renowned Teacher of the university. There are about 2200 full-time undergraduates and 100 postgraduates.

SCEG has six undergraduate majors: Surveying and mapping engineering, civil engineering, urban and rural planning, engineering management, geographic information science and Geospatial Information Engineering.
